From the moment I first met Emily and Jason to the day of their wedding, I knew I was in for a treat. They are both so easy going and a breeze to photograph. We had so much fun during their engagement session, I knew their wedding day would be no different. They always seem to make each other laugh, and the way they look at each other makes my heart full. After listening to the speeches from their family and friends, and spending time with them, I am convinced these two were made for each other.
On Friday, August 25th, Emily and Jason tied the knot in front of their family and friends. It was an absolutely beautiful evening ceremony at Billings Estate in Ottawa, Ontario. As the sun broke through the trees and Emily and Jason read their vows to each other I couldn't help but tear up. They planned the perfect dinner party for their family and friends with every detail thought out, from Jason spending all week cooking the meal that was served in their small apartment to twinkly lights and dinner under the stars. This was truly a wedding to remember.
Jason wrote a letter for his bride to read before the ceremony along with a gift. As Emily read the note, she teared up, and you can bet, I teared up too. He also made sure Emily got the perfume she had told him about months before; the perfume she has always wanted to wear on her wedding day.
Emily had a gift for Jason; a Masakage knife which is engraved with their wedding date. The Masakage is a part of a collection that Emily plans to add to every year. Does she know the way to a Chef's heart or what?
How gorgeous is this. This venue is a dream to a photographer, especially with this light! The sun broke through the trees and lit the ceremony beautifully.
Just look at those smiles. have you ever seen a happier couple?
Jason had one more surprise for his beautiful bride. He had kept all the little items that made up the night he proposed and had it framed. I think we can all agree this is one happy bride and one sweet and thoughtful groom.
How gorgeous are these colours?
What's a dinner party without a jazz band and oysters?
What more can I say? Emily and Jason's wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. I am so blessed to have been apart of such a loving, fun and beautiful day.
