On Saturday August 25th my close friend Shelby married her best friend in Aurora, Ontario. Daniel and Shelby met in 2015 at Pioneer Camp Ontario where the three of us went in June to shoot their engagement photos which you can find here.
It rained for most of the day, but it didn’t drown out the love and joy of the day. Daniel and Shelby both got ready in Shelby’s childhood home and their ‘first look’ took place in the forest behind her house. Thankfully the rain held off for the first look and bridal party photos.
Yes, seeing his bride for the first time brought tears to his eyes.
The ceremony and reception took place at the Church Shelby grew up going to and where she and I met - The Campus Church. Originally the ceremony was to take place outside, but by the time we were leaving to go to the Church it was pouring, so Plan B it was!
As Shelby started walking down the aisle she started to cry, so did Daniel and so did I. In that moment I was over the moon happy for my friend; she looked so beautiful I couldn’t help but cry tears of joy.
The reception was short but sweet, it included tea, finger sandwiches, speeches and of course, cake!
Thankfully the rain had stopped when the reception came to a close and we were able to go out and get some final Bride and Groom portraits!
It was such a pleasure being able to photograph this special day. Daniel and Shelby, I love you both and wish nothing but love and happiness in your marriage in the years to come. I am so blessed to be able to call you my friends and I look forward to the evenings we will spend playing board games and making memories.
