As most people know, I am not a morning person. I like to reserve my mornings for sleep, but if that morning includes my camera, a cool location, and people who want their photos taken, I am a morning person. November in Ontario is the start of the dreary season where daylight hours are short, and the sun goes into hibernation behind the clouds for days at a time, so the mornings tend to be the best time for photos in the winter months.

I met up with Andrew and Vivien in Holland Landing on a chilly Saturday morning; luckily the sun was out to keep us warm. I love engagement sessions because we can really take our time getting to know each other without the pressures of a timeline. Every couple is different, so this having stress-free time to get to know each of my couples is super important. Watching how they interact with each other, how they move together, and how they speak of each other, and to each other. These are all little windows into what their relationship really feels like, and once I can feel that I can capture it.
