Shane + Cheryl

My best friend is engaged!!! When I got the text that Cheryl was engaged to Shane, I screamed! I’ve known Cheryl since I was 12, but we really got close when we lived together while working at a summer camp years later. Shane is from Ireland; he and Cheryl were pen pals as teenagers, and met when Cheryl went to travel to Ireland years later. Fast forward another few years and they are dating. Now this was exciting folks, but why? Because Cheryl has always liked Shane and always knew they would be great together if not for the distance. Well, Shane has now moved to Canada and they are getting married!!

For their engagement session, we explored Greenwood Conservation Area in Ajax, ON; it’s quite a large area, which gave me lots of time to get to know Shane and of course, give him the classic “if you hurt my best friend” talk. This was my first time meeting Shane because when he came to Canada COVID restrictions were very tight. But without a doubt, Shane is absolutely incredible, and seeing how happy he makes Cheryl is all the evidence I need. Check out some of my favourite shots from our evening adventure!
