Melanie + Nathaniel
On a beautiful summer evening, Melanie, Nathaniel, and I all took a trip downtown Toronto for their engagement session. We ended up all driving down together, which was honestly so nice, we had the time to chat and get to know each other better, so by the time we started taking pictures, it felt like good friends hanging out. N&M had their first date in Toronto; they first had dinner at the Future Bistro, then went to Nathan Phillips Square, followed by Ripley's Aquarium. We were originally thinking of recreating their first date, but unfortunately Future Bistro has changed owners since, so the restaurant isn’t quite the same sit-down style as it was for their first date; though to be fair, it was almost 8 years ago! Instead, we opted for Centre Island to capture the sunset and beautiful skyline of the city where they fell in love. I have never actually been over to the Toronto Islands, so it was such an exciting experience. I love being able to explore new places with my couples; it’s honestly one of my favourite parts of the job. We had so much fun hanging out taking photos that I am even more excited for their wedding day in September, but until then, enjoy some of my favourite shots from M&N’s Centre Island engagement session.
