Nate & Gillian 05.28.21

The COVID restrictions in Ontario were still pretty tight in May when Nate and Gillian had planned their wedding day. The two got married in the presence of their imitate family and a couple friends, it was an unintentionally intimate ceremony at Gillian’s church in Newmarket. A small reception was held outside the church for the attendees with cupcakes, after that we enjoyed the afternoon taking photos outside the church, and down the road amongst the trees.

One cool thing that has come out of COVID weddings is the ability still have your guests with you on your wedding day. Zoom, Facebook and Youtube Live, has made it possible for family and friends to still be able to witness their loved ones enter this new chapter of their lives. I don't think this is something that will end when COVID does, I think more couples will continue to have live streams set up for their ceremony for family and friends who might not be able to make it otherwise. It also would be a good way to still include certain people at your wedding. Just like the one friend of your mom’s that you met that ONE time that your mom INSISTS must be there, yeah you know what I’m talking about.
