Marc & Shae-Lynn 07.09.21

On a cloudy, July day, Marc and Shae-Lynn got married in front of their family and friends in the back field of a farm in Goodwood, Ontario. It had rained quite a bit in the morning, making for some beautiful post rain ceremony decor detail photos. One great thing about photos in or after the rain… the greens are so vibrant and alive, and the smells… well I don’t know about you, but I love the smell of the air after it’s rained, it’s so fresh and crisp. Thankfully the rain held off until the start of the reception… thank the Lord for shelter!

Some of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken so far are from this wedding; and one of those photos is this dress photo. I knew that I wanted to hang Shae’s dress in the pine tree forest but we were running behind schedule and I didn’t have a lot of time. This was one of those moments where I became a little selfish as a photographer; although I knew it would take a few extra minutes that we didn’t have, I knew it would be so worth it. Remember that rain? well those green leaves at the bottom of the tree came up to my mid-thigh; I was soaked by the time I got out of there, but it was so worth it.

Marc and Shae-Lynn both got ready in the same house; Marc in the kitchen, and Shae in the stairwell. It got a little hectic near the end, but I have to say the photos turned out great and they never saw each other! Win-Win!

Now that is a bridal PARTY.

I absolutely love how their Bride and Groom portraits come out, they are so intimate, and moody. You can really feel the love these two share. I am so excited to see what God has in store for them in the future.
